Accommodation Options

Irish Host Family

Host families provide comfortable accommodation as part of your stay, with single or room-sharing options available. ISI Host Families are visited by our accommodation team in advance of hosting students, and they are each Garda vetted (police checked). Students are placed with families according to their preferences and dietary needs. ISI accommodation staff offer a full support service for students to help with any questions or concerns and are available to meet you directly on-site when required. Staying with a host family is a preferred option for the vast majority of ISI students. It provides convenience to students enrolled in an intensive course looking to improve their English quickly, and for students interested in creating a second home here in Dublin – whatever reason you have for studying at ISI, our host families are here to help every step of the way.

Alternatively, students normally choose the ‘half board’ option, meaning breakfast and an evening meal, Monday to Friday, and breakfast, small lunch, and evening meal on Saturday and Sunday.

The majority of ISI students stay with host families located in Dublin City’s suburbs. Students can expect to commute between 45 to 75 minutes by public transport to the city centre, where both of our centres are no more than a 5-minute walk from the bus stops and train stations.

See below for ISI Accommodation detailed list of rooming options available with their hand-picked host families.

  • Half-Board, single room
  • Half-Board, shared room (for those travelling together)
  • Full-Board, single room
  • Full Board, shared room (for those travelling together)
